Hi, I am new here even I am 40 years in the hobby. I fly sport planes and Jets mainly, but I flew aerobatics in the past. My goal is to learn and improve the construction processes, while also maintaining my piloting skills, because I'm already 68 years old and it's unlikely I'll be able to improve much further. Nevertheless, I'll try to stay as informed as possible, since new products and techniques are what attract me to the hobby right now. Thank you for welcoming me to this group of scale model enthusiasts.

Welcome to RCSB show us some of your projects! Your comment alarmed me….  several of us are older than you, and I think a lot of use are still focussed on getting better.
You aren't done yet!
Where do you fly your airplanes at?

I apologize for causing any alarm. I am 68 years old and in excellent health, though I acknowledge that I am no longer young, so I assume my piloting skills are unlikely to improve further.
I am very active in the hobby and regularly fly several models, such as a kerosene-turbine Eurofighter, a kerosene-turbine Rebel PRO, a Spitfire with an inline twin-cylinder engine, and a Bellanca Decathlon with a 76cc boxer engine. However, I am currently repairing a CARF Corsair with folding wings—which I damaged following an engine failure—and am converting its pneumatic and hydraulic systems to an electric setup. I will soon receive a CARF SIAI Marchetti, and I also have a CARF L-39 waiting for its turn. I serve as the president of a club in Valencia, in eastern Spain, and we recently upgraded our facilities, placing our club among the best in the country.

We visited Valencia a few years back its a pity I would have liked to visit your model field. When i travel overseas several offer to let me fly their airplanes. Your airplane hangar is safe, forum image There isn't any way I would fly some one else's airplane worth as much as the rental car I'm driving…… forum image
I fly Mode 2 and most airplanes are set up in Mode 1. The best I can do in Mode 1 is a basic trainer…… forum image

I have been to the United States three times and have always visited an aeromodelling shop, as I was able to see world-renowned kits there from brands like Top Flite or Carl Goldberg—shops where the sheer amount of gear really got me excited. Of course, if you have the chance to come to Valencia again, get in touch with me, and I can show you around and invite you to our club.
