Thanks Ed!  I'm not sure what I was "hoping" to hear / see.  I have always desired a T-28 sized for a 250cc radial.  When I saw your picture, I guess my day dreaming mind led me to think that plane was a bit bigger than what it may indeed be.  Thanks for the research!

James

You're in luck... ::) The recommended radial is a UMS 150 to 180. Be thankful it is not a larger mass...it will still sound like the same hypersonic rattle of the T-28. It too is one of my long time favorites in its S.E.A. config . That is one HUGE coin aircraft. I'm fortunate to live in Houston with all its warbirds... three 28's. The TopRC T-28 is a 100% composite structure referred to as a "sandwich". That typically infers Hexcel hexagonal patterned layup...aka light weight

Awaiting new pix.

Congratulations Jeff!
If I'm not mistaken this airplane was in an automobile wreck while being transported to the model field a while back.
Repaired as chronicled here on RCSB and lived to fight another day!
Fantastic!!!!

Congratulations Jeff and to a first-time scale competition competitor and good friend Ryan Bowman.

Ryan place 2nd in Expert with his awesome Ziroli, Sue Parish P-40.
Ryan's P-40 also won Model of the Month recently.

Well deserved award, Jeff.  Your BF-109 is a masterpiece.

Here are some photos of the Expert competition.  The Cub suffered a loss of landing gear on the last flight and is absent from our group photo.

I failed to get a picture of the Tigermoth

Here were the Expert flight scores as of Saturday morning with one flight to go and a drop of our lowest score yet to be excluded.  In the end it was Tom taking first, Ryan (me ) taking 2nd, and Larry taking 3rd.

Here were the static scores.  I'm not sure why Mitch was listed in Expert and Jeff was excluded.  Jeff may have been the 1000 since these were normalized scores.

Jeff - BF-109
Tom - Starduster
Larry - Cub
David - Crop Duster
Ryan - P-40
Jack - Tigermoth
Doug - Wildcat
