First day of Flight Comp 4/08/2026 opened with pilot meeting hosted by Curtis in a chilly
48 degrees under Cirrus clouds...temp forecast to moderate by afternoon in windy conditions. Fortunately at 10am on Wednesday...Day 1...its down the runway :)

Static judging in the chilly breeze meant sitting well within the judge's tent to stay warm...but without the help of sunshine.

It may have been 62~64 but not much more today. Wind finally died down.
Jeff and his wife are going to the dinner...then to treat their sunburn.
...............

It is a great location.
I was able tobe there the First year it opened, but now too far away for me.
I will enjoy looking at he Photos and be there in Memories.

Triple Tree is one of my favorite places to go every year.  Either for Joe Nall, or Nall in the Fall.  I have been watching your posts from AoA with enjoyment! Keep the pics coming!

Thanks for sharing the photos, always like to see what magic the real masters are cooking up.

I also like that you separate prop and jet so the poor fellow who poured his heart and soul into a museum caliber J-3 doesn't have to compete against an F-16.
