The SSRCC  SCALE FLY-in is coming up this Saturday 8/9/25

Consider stopping by with your model to enjoy a day of flying with friends or just stopping by
at the longest running eastern MA scale event.

Great! What's your typical turnout?

Varies from year to year.  Strong function of the weather.

Around 20 > 25 pilots and 20 > 30 models.

I suggest you start announcing it earlier to draw more flies.

Hey is that you Ray?

Ed - turnout was pretty good.  The event is advertised locally about a year in advance and is in the AMA event listing.  Tends to be a lot of the same folks from local clubs every year.  Very laid back, casual fun fly style with just some informal pilots choice voting.

I didn't take many photos this year but our "official club photographer" posted these.  Unfortunately we missed a couple stunning ones including our own fwjeff with his Proctor D.VII  and one of his Fw.190s.  And a 1/3 scale composite P-51 that was flying with a 3 cylinder Kolm inline.  Mitch Bucky flew it, I believe it belongs to Bob Rule.

Also Jack Buckley was there, but didnt bring any of his models that he built for hte worlds... those are probably to precious to risk :)
