We ended up only flying one round of F4C and H, mostly due to there not really being a competition for slots.  I had to leave early so I was only going to be able to fly one round anyway, so it worked out.  The showers passed through Saturday night and the weather Sunday afternoon (today) was perfect for flying.  Also 2 years ago site 4 had sustained some damage and wasn't in great shape.  I'm happy to say that the field was in great shape this summer and the grass was in fact short enough for EDFs as I saw several fly.

Here's the F4C lineup, my F24, Tim Dickey's Waco UEC, and Jack Buckley's Aeronca

I like this shot even though I cut off most of mine and Jack's planes

And the lineup in F4H, Peter Fynn's Southern Martlet, Mike Barbee's Hawker Fury, Keith Number's B.E. 8, and Jack's F24.

And the scores

F4C

F4H

The CL guys couldn't fly yesterday so they had to finish up the Nats and will do team trials tomorrow, I'll post results when I get them.  But they had competition for slots so for the 2026 Worlds the US will have a full team for I believe the first time ever.

Excellent news...all around...A huge congratulations for your blood, sweat, and tears to get'r done
Looks like we have a home run hitting team for 2026 in the UK. The 24 must have flown as if on rails.

Ben, I enjoyed meeting and talking with you at the Nats. Congratulations on making the team! I watched your flight. It was a joy to see that airplane in the sky and you flew it very well. You should be very proud of your efforts.

Will you make it back to Muncie in September?

Thanks guys!

Danny- Richard is right, all touch and goes.  The plane looks really nice landing, might as well just do that

Takeoff
Flight in straight line at constant height
Straight flight at a slow speed
Wing over
Chandelle
Descending 360
Figure 8
Overshoot
Touch and go
Landing

Thank you Bill and it was good to meet you too. And thank you for judging this weekend. I am rather happy with the plane.

Unfortunately I won’t be coming up for the Classic, I can only manage that 4 day drive every other year.
