Hopefully Ben or one of the NASA staff will post results of static which will show who, with what, and result. Although at the NATs its been a tradition to not post static scores until after flight round #1 is flown and result posted.

Boyko had told me that the F4 entries go through a different portal than the other classes, that is why they do not show up on the registration roster on the AMA website.  It looked to me that general entries were down a bit. But the Designer class had significantly more than years past.  Really looking forward to watching the results/info come in.  This is my favorite event of the year.

Boyko's got his hands full with pushing sport scale matters under partly cloudy skies...aka perfect
conditions through half a day Fri. Could see 2 rounds F4. Its not looking good for F4 flight comp...
possibly Sat, and Sun.

*Revised extended projects continued partly cloudy through most of Sat with winds up to 13 mph.

Thanks guys.

Sparky-I can see them flying pylon and I was hoping you would somehow still be here, I guess I don't need to go over there looking for you.

The AMA site is quite busy this week, the helicopter guys were at site 4 until yesterday, we're at site 4, there is pylon racing happening, CL speed (they were flying pulse jets today), CL stunt, and now CL scale.

The F4 entrants don't show up on the AMA site because it isn't really an AMA event, which is why the static and flying is not done concurrently.

In F4B we have the current World Champion Peter Bauer flying his winning scratch built Islander, twin electric with RC throttle

His wife and caller Kathy with her Twin Otter.  I think she's actually flying a Shoestring

Orin Humphries drove all the way from the Seattle area with his Stearman

Mike McHenry and his L4 that from Worlds last year.

Unfortunately I missed Pete Mazur and his Bearcat.

In F4H we have Mike Barbee with his electric 1/4 scale Hawker Fury.  I believe he is also building another British plane.

Jack Buckley with his scratch built 1/4 scale Fairchild 24, ~30cc gas for power

Keith Numbers with his scratch built F.E.8 pusher bipe.  I think it uses a gas engine

RCSBer Peter Fynn (yes a 3rd Pete ) with his scratch built Southern Martlet.  Here's the LINK to the build thread

In F4C we have Jack Buckley again with an Aeronca of some type, I forgot to ask him and grab a pic.  Jack is competing in both classes.

And we have Tim Dickey and me with our scratch built 1/4 scale planes.  His is a Waco UEC and mine y'all have seen before

So a total of 5 in F4B, 3 in C, and 4 in H.  It's enough for us to field a full team next summer, which is really great.  There's no FAI activities until Sunday, I'll try to grab some pics and will definitely post scores and such as I get them.

 Ben,

Good stuff.  Thanks for the update.

BTW,  is there still going to be a flying contest/competition for the F4 entries, or are they going to basically get rubber stamped onto the team since there are so few, or just enough?

I think ultimately the CIAM of each country determines the method and procedure by which their
country's team is chosen.

Stan Alexander* is probably the most knowledgeable person who can answer that. I do not recall
a protocol explicitly defining team selection procedure.

Perhaps "Sir Richard"...aka Richard Crapp a UK RCSB WSC vet can shed a little light on this...

Next Year's 2026 WSC Judges...??? Is Stan head judge of B-H Static?

There will definitely be flying this weekend, Stan tells me there needs to be a flight for it to be official. Also there is competition in 2 of the 3 classes. I know weather is going to be an issue but we’ll see how it goes.
