Hello from Muncie! I'll post updates from the US F4 team trials here, I'll try to grab some pics of the pilots and their planes tomorrow during static judging. I think most of the F4 entrants arrived this afternoon and were assembling their planes. Flying for F4 isn't until Sunday so we'll all be flying in the Nats too.

Having followed Ben's build of this 1/4 scale Fairchild 24, getting to now follow along as he attends the trials and Nats is both exciting and a privilege because we get to see the nitty gritty involved in top level competition to represent the United States.
Anyway, at this stage of things, all I have for you is . . . stay hydrated because when you don't, then what happens to your body is no fun. And I apologize if this is too much inside baseball, folks, but the way you monitor this not only with frequency and volume of urination but color.
You are doing it right when it's 'barely' yellow. Any darker, drink more water! Summertime in Muncie? Chug liquids even when you don't think you're thirsty because you're losing water like crazy as your body struggles to stay cool. Heads up!

I don't recall if the 24 is in 4C... Static score typically determines final placement...especially when an entry's flight maneuvers are as realistic as your maiden was.
Here's your money shot...rewarded as the judge compares your 1:1 pics to her. It doesn't get any better than this comparison...

Is it a 1:1 or Ben's?

I was Pylon Racing last weekend in Muncie. Yes it can be a physical challenge. On the dozens of times I have been to the AMA site, I am always amazed how the approaching weather, while sometimes onerous will actually split and travel around our little slice of heaven.note the WX in the background that went around us…… (Not from last weekend)

I will be following closely Ben.
Could you please post a roster of the entries for each class? The AMA website does not have anyone listed. I am interested in not only who, but how many are taking this challenge on.

Yeah, I know.
I just wanted to see who the registered pilots are.
