I just finished this one up for my friends 1/3 D7... I usually use a flat clear coat when I paint brown leathers.. but I like to use a gloss on black colored leathers... It will dull up some with age anyhow... I like to add colors in the shading other than just browns, blacks and whites.. I typically use some blues when painting black leathers to simulate the reflection of the sky off of the leather...
So add your Balsa USA pilots in to the dog fight !
Here is my 1/4 N11 pilot that has survived a direct hit middair.. his head is separated from the body so that a servo turns his head.. I might add in the crash.. his neck was really bent to an odd angle that looked horrifically painful !
Awsome Work! I will need a pilot for my D.VII. I painted alot of metal wargame figures. I am hoping to use the skills I learned there to apply to my pilot.
