I am going on 72 and have been building since I was 12 yo. A chance encounter re-kindled my passion for playing the highland bagpipes so now taking lessons from a professional piping instructor.
That said, I am still as passionate (if not more) as ever about modelling.

Abufletcher: "I was recently reminded of Donny Wilcox, a once prolific Scottish scale modeler. He's still around and has an impressive YouTube channel documenting his amazing life exploring the nature of Scotland"
So, that's what became of DonnyW?!? Nice to hear he's doing fine.

I have been building scale since I was 5 (1964). My first competition scale model was a P-51D 1/12" scale control line.I still have the plane, and minus a lot of hangar rash, it's mostly in tact.

59 here. Jumping in on that 50-60 age bracket while I still can. I built my first plane at 14 years old and will continue to build until I can't.

62 going on 15! Wish I had that span to cover everything that needs to be built and a few more that I want to build. Started this great hobby at 13 when me and my father (the person that got me involved/interested in planes) sold my Lionel and HO trains for my first plane. Sure flite Cessna (the first foamies!) in Cub yellow, MRC 4ch radio and Enya engine I believe that had the butterfly exhaust port. Span was a huge 36/48 inch! Can't remember exactly but by today's standards it was but a wee boy.

I built my first Kit and a scratch build when I was 15. I have posted photos before, I believe Richard and myself are the old Fogies here.
