Hi All,

This is my first post on this website.  I have been following several builds on this site and thank you all for the tips and suggestions on building wonderful scale aircraft.  My goals for this year are to finish my grandson's 1/5 scale sig Cub with a twin Saito engine.  I also have a Pat Trittle Jenney.

I just completed a part-time job as a Instrumentation tech at a fresh water well for Granger Hunter Improvement Dist here in Salt Lake City.  I now have some "Model Money" to begin collecting parts for a Jerry Bates 1/5 scale Bellanca Skyrocket model.  I have always had a fondness for the "Golden Age" aircraft and the Bellanca will fill my "need" for this era. I would like to power this aircraft with one of the new Evolution 7-cylinder radial engines.  Any thoughts on these engines?

Thanks All,

Dave

Welcome to RCScalebuilder.com, Dave.

I hope you are planning on doing a buildthread for the Skyrocket.
I love the 30's Golden Age racers, am designing plans for a 1/4 scale Gee Bee Z myself, powered by a Seidel 7-70.

Dave , Welcome to RCSB , once you become a site supporter you can go to the "Engine" forum and look up the post from Dragon Slayer on the Evolution 260 , I think you will find this very interesting and Dragon Slayer is an excellent teacher and Craftsman

Welcome aboard Dave. You can still check out the posts in all forums without being a site supporter but you involvement will be limited. I urge you to consider joining us as a site supporter-it will be the best 20 bucks you have spent in this hobby. The freebies you receive will be worth many times more than the cost of joining the site. Again-welcome aboard. We are glad to have you with us.

Welcome.  I did a Flyline Bellanca Skyrocket, just posted a thread about it, if you want some inspiration...
