I hope each of you are enjoying our great hobby this month. As we start another flying season here in the Northern Hemisphere I hope you all will keep safety in mind and have a great season! For our friends down under and south of the equator, enjoy your building season as you folks head toward colder weather.
1. NEW VENDOR GUIDE - I have posted the 2023 2nd Quarter Vendor Resource Guide. If you are an RCSB Site Supporter and would like to check it out you can find it by clicking on [Site Supporter] and then [Vendor Resource Guide] on the site menu. It's a great tool to help source items for our hobby!
2. CHAT ROOM MEET UP - Starting this month I will be hosting a chat meetup once a month in the RCSB Chatroom the first Saturday (Sunday morning for those downunder) of each month. Come ask questions about RCSB, tell us about your project. Ask questions about construction, finishing, or flying. Everyone is welcome! You can find it by clicking on [Community] then [Live Chat Room] on the site menu at the top of every page. I am trying to schedule it so as many people around the world can attend based on their timezone but the majority of members are in the North America and Europe. Here is the preliminary schedule for this quarter:
Saturday April 1st 9:00pm UTC, 5:00pm EDT, 2:00 PM PDT Monday May 1st 9:00pm UTC, 5:00pm EDT, 2:00 PM PDT Thursday June 1st 9:00pm UTC, 5:00pm EDT, 2:00 PM PDT
3. VENDORS - I wanted to take a moment and remind you all that our vendors who advertise on this site have invested in our community, so I hope when you get ready to make a hobby purchase you will consider them first. Simply, go to the RCSB Vendors on the site menu (at the top of every page) and see the wide selection of products available. Remember, they are helping to support what we are doing here so show them some appreciation and try to use them first if possible. Thanks!
4. SITE TIP - You can see what topics (threads) have been updated since your last visit by clicking on [Active Topics] under the [Community] menu item at the top of every page. Once there, you can also use the “Show Active Topics Since” drop-down on the “Active Topics” page to go back and see what topics have been updated up to a month back.
