Production ended in 1951. This is nice highly detailed walk-around of a Cessna 120 photographed by member Bob Knight at the Pima Air Space Museum. Fun plane. Cost of the plane and flight instructor in 1974/75 was $16 an hour. Just the 140 solo, $11. Gas included in both rates. Simpler days back then. Lane I have a pic of N2260V, the Cessna 140 I learned to fly in. Sitting in a Tee Hanger. This is a fabric wing model. The airport owner also had a Cessna 140A which had an all metal wing. Flew them both. The 140 was a bit faster than the 140A. At some point years after I was done, someone ground looped the 140. The airport owner had an alignment jig(s) he got somewhere along the line to rebuild her. The airport mechanic did the repairs and after a few months, 2260 Victor was ready to fly again. The owner retired years ago and sold all his aircraft. I wonder who got this one? Got to thinkin' and I looked up 2260V. She's had a few new owners and sporting a new paint scheme.
