The only "dumb" question is the one that does not get asked!

Hi Steve welcome to RCSB the absolute best site for building , learning and sharing scale model aircraft. I'm in east Tennessee so you cant be too far away. Beware of building anything WWI, they're like potato chips, its hard to stop at one! lol No retracts , very little fiber glassing, gobs of lovely subjects and color schemes.
Enjoy the site

Doc

Wingtwister;

I’ll join the choir & welcome you to our site. I’ve asked more dumb & dumber questions than I can count. Each question no matter how dumb ( or obvious) it may be, will always be addressed in a respectful manner. I’ve been on this site for only a few years & in that time, I’ve yet to see anyone write a derogatory response. Not that it’s not permitted (it isn’t), it’s just shows who we are. Each & every one us has started somewhere & each & everyone of us had (& still have) our humble beginnings.

You’ll see some modelers who have been “ blessed” with every skill & tools to go along with those skills to turn out unbelievable scale detailed models that has left many of us drooling at the mouth.

At the same time, you’ll see many modelers turning out equally great scale details using only common household tools (moi) & lots of imagination to make up for the lack of such access to exotic tools.

Along the way, we exchange PMs (Personal Messages) & in the process become close friends & even exchanged gifts, tools, dozens & in some cases hundreds detailed walk-around photos of the subject being modeled; all free of charge, plans, ideas & suggestions & even have some of us drive a couple hundred miles over just to help each other out. It’s just who we are.

Some of us are retired big rig truck drivers, professors, doctors, aircraft designers, plumbers, company executives & janitors & yes full sized licensed pilots. It doesn’t matter who you are.

So please refer to the link that was provided & join full time otherwise you’ll be limited to just 5 posts.

Welcome & cheers,

Gary (Skye).
