Greetings all,

Here we are in mid summer in the Northern Hemisphere and before you know it we will be in another building season on this half of the globe! Have you thought about what you will be building this winter? Finishing up a previous project like me or starting a new one? I would love to hear from you what you will be working on this winter so speak up!

I always look forward to every fall to see the new projects hit the building table or bench from you guys. If you are new to the site this year I hope you will consider starting a build thread in the upcoming this building season if you have not already. We can all learn from each other no matter what your skill level is.

For new folks who are just getting into scale building be sure and check out our Tutorials section and the Beginning Scale section on the site menu. There are lots of great tutorials and articles. If you are looking for someplace to start be sure and check out Jerry Bates "Building From Plans For The Novice". It's a great introduction to building from plans.

Hope you all have a great July and don't forget "safety first" when flying!

Cheers,
Mike

And if you can't keep safety first, at least have a well stocked first aid kit in your car.

Considering this ends up being someone else's job... Whether you fly with friends informally or at a dedicated flying site take up a collection to purchase a formal (professionally designed) emergency kit...box. Remember the need to use this will be on someone else...not you...

At Bomber Field we have had to open the wall mounted box during "every" event and once a month for members and guests. We have a couple of surgeons and family practice members who end up utilizing the box contents before an event is over.

What is in the typical emergency box?
