This unique device operates a servo or servos that open or close the cowl flaps depending on the temperature inside the engine cowl. It operates independently meaning, it doesn’t use a channel from the receiver and only taps into the receiver voltage via a Y-Harness in order to run. This device monitors the temperature inside the cowl and either opens or closes the flaps as needed. On those long final approaches the engine heat is kept in preventing flame outs and also while idling on a hot runway waiting for clearance to take off; the flaps open to keep the engine cool.

Let me know if you are interested and I can email you installation plans that include photos using bellcranks and rods for examples. Price is $59.95 + Shipping

Earl,

Excellent product! By chance do you have a drawing of the cowl control ring as would be
found in a P-47, F4U, F6F, etc...?

It would be fabulous to see pix or diagram posted to show the mechanical installation.

Very cool product. I too would be interested in seeing cowl ring drawings. Getting ready to start a Yellow Razorback Jug and think this would be really innovative.
