Has anyone else thought about replacing the air cylinder and using these instead on retracts? Might take a little trial and error. Just thinking out loud. Oh NO!

  Hi Ernest,

72cheyenne is building a 1/5th JB Bearcat with folding wing upgrade using these.

  Here

He recons he can't push them in or pull them out by hand, which sound good.

Thanks Bak. Yes, that is one that I'm watching. I went to their website and found sizes that could work. Just wish there was a way the end points could be adjusted. I didn't read anything like that? There are minimum orders for custom configurations though.

  Hi Ernest,

While on Actuonix's site I watched a product vid, it mentioned a "stall protection sensor" that shuts the unit off when it reach's
the end of it's stroke. In a good solid retract frame this should make end point adjustment unnecessary.
Are you looking at maybe using these elsewhere as well or just to electrify retracts?

Bak, just retracts and any landing gear doors.

Like I wrote in the beginning, just thinking out loud as a possible alternative.

Also thinking loud....

Don't these actuators (L16 R series) acting the same as a servo so you can set your endpoints at your transmitter?

Thought also crossed my mind. Might have to get a pair now and try 'em.
