After many request I've managed to complie some views of "The Big One" as named by Gary Sibert of GetStencils.com.

Somewhere in Tripoli 1941......?

Scratch built over 9 years (work and family commitments always seemed to get in the way) from Ziroli Plans.

Brief spec: 101" wing span, 27lbs weight, Zenoah G62 Titan gas engine, 9 servos, dual redundancaey 2500 mAh Sub C (helped with balance), working flaps (4), dive brakes (2), landing light, bomb release and siren. 2K upoxy primer finished with Nelson Paints.

History: JU87 B2 Tropical. 6./St.G 2, Trimimi, Libya, July 1941 flown by Hubert Polz. RLM 70 and 71 upper surfaces and RLM78 lower surface.

Most documentation has been artisically altered by varying authors over the years and the correct markings are T6+DP.

All stencils including the 60" Snake were provided by Gary Sibert of GetStencils.com and painted with Nelson Paints.

Wheels pants, cowl, spinner and canopy provided by Ziroli Plans.

Quote: Stuka
Looks supberb LH

Any inflight snaps, just after takeoff or on landing approach / low level fly past.

Apart from the 4 second flight mine had in 70 something I have not seen a model Stuka in flight.

Soon to come, weather permitting and the photographer available

The exhaust stubs were made by hand with a mould and heat gun. Plastic conduit from Home Depot is gently heated so that it JUST STARTS to goes soft (not too much or it turns to jelly) push onto mould held in vice, hold for 5 secs and hey presto

Wing Gun fairings were made from auto repair putty. First place masking tape over gun position on the wing. Then mix up the putty and spread a dollop on. As it starts to turn to rubber use a scalple to cut away waste (saves on sanding). Once fully cured pull off wing and sand to final shape. Contour is a perfect fit for gluing.

Gull wing joint was done with half round plastruct (most hobby stores stock it). Rivets (millions of the little blighters) were applied with "Gaunt Industries oiler - USA) 60% PVA glue and 40% water. Whole model done with less than 4oz
