We came, we saw (some flew) and we ate!

In retrospect, I probably should have given my cell phone # out for those that needed help finding the place as there were a few no-shows and a couple of last-minute plan changes for people - Roy from Canada, I even had the front desk on the look out for a group of Canadians, eh - but they never found you.  Sorry you missed us - next time I hope?

In a slight comedy, a few of our group were seated in the other banquet room and were assured that there was no other model airplane group. Our headwaiter Jose finally figured out what was up and brought them over to us.

Here are some action shots of the dinner (the action is mostly my hand shaking):

Nearest camera on the right - Sparky (Tim) Larry Sutherland (Race90) Gus Stutsman (GusGus) hiding his wife Sharon.  Opposite side of the table - Lawndart (John Reno), FW190 (Vic Catalsan) and George Ellison.  The left hand table is next.

Green shirt back to us is Ray English, the motor man, to his right is DB_Spit (Barry Dalwig) - up the table is his wife (Karen? sorry) then Angie and CapGains (Dan Gellner).

The prize patrol!  On the left is Barry, Ray, Rick and John Gaines - on the right you have already met except now you can see Sharon Stutsman.  And everyone is holding up whatever they won.

More of the same, except in action.  Jeez, I need to leave the Corona alone!

John, showing off the grand prize, a Warbird Pilots pilot.

Many thanks to Mike (Admin) for getting us the goodies and his unflagging support of this awesome site!

Would also like to thank RTL Fasteners, SkyShark, Jerry Bates Plans, Warbird Pilots (of course!) and whoever supplied the xacto knives, zona saws and Zap epoxy.

Yay us!

Thank you So much, Jeff. It was wonderful to get together with rcsb guys and their wives and put faces to names. Let's do it next year!

Fun night! It was great to see the face to match to the Handle on RCSB.
We have a little way to go to get the head count up to Toledo standards.
A big thanks to George Ellison for picking up the bar tab!
I behaved myself and didn't throw a single roll, ya that's it, not a single roll!

It was great putting faces to handles and I can attest to the fact that Sparky didn't throw any rolls (of course the 20 bucks he paid me to say that helped)??

A big thanks to Jeff for putting the whole thing together, it must have been like herding cats??.

Jeff,

Sorry for the no show, the wife had a bit to much sun and was not doing well, I had no way to contact you to let you know. We enjoyed the event and the surrounding country, hope we are able to return in the future.

Roy

I'm sorry I wasn't able to make it.  Unfortunately, I had an unexpected problem and expense with my truck that kept me home.  Hopefully, there will be more opportunities for a get together in the future.
