I've had some questions that I wanted to answer here for everyone. All types of aircraft are welcome, including foamies. If there are enough foamies, we are happy to have a large number of them fly together as a group. It is common for WWI, Golden Age and WWII aircraft to fly together in groups, and we are happy to do that for foamies. Another question is about the start time and we usually start around 8:30am.

The event is coming up on Saturday, August 20th.  The early weather report is for mid-80s with wind down the runway from the West, which is typical for August in Livermore.

Last year my wife took some of the pilots' spouses for a tour of downtown Livermore and wine tasting, and everyone had a nice time.  My wife will be doing this again this year for any interested spouses.

See you there Ed!
Gus is coming down, wondered if there is somewhere he can spot his trailer?

Sure, he can park it at the field inside the gate.  Not sure if he is planning on staying over Friday night, but if so, he can call me at 925.518.0674 and I will let him in.

“Warbirds Over Livermore 2016” was very successful and fun for all.  There were 45 registered pilots and we had nice weather in the high 80s with moderate winds all day.  There were five aircraft in the air several times throughout the day with no major incidents.  We enjoyed a great BBQ lunch and had a free pilots raffle with lots of building supplies and bottles of wine.  A special thanks to Todd Galland for bringing and setting up his PA system, and for the great music and sound effects tracks.  Winston Churchill has a distinctive voice!  A full set of photos is available here--> http://www.lferc.com/PhotoAlbum/index.php?/category/53

We look forward to doing it again next year!
