Hi,

I have a John Rickett plan, has anybody built this plane or looked at the plan as I have found several things wrong with it.

22 of the Ribs are longer by 1 -1.25" than the plans for the wings. There are no cut outs for the wing spars.

We are having problems converting the plan to files for the laser cutter.

Can anybody give me some ideas?

Cheers from New Zealand

John,
Old school solution.... Get three views you like and are as close to the full scale plane as you can find.
If you can find a single subject with enough documentation that you want to make a copy of even better,

Keep the plans you have, if you are happy with its size and aren't forced to use oddball size spinners or tyres. If not make adjustments to match commercially available products.

Start drawing......

Sparky

Yes there is some real crap drawings out there.

It would be really nice if this thread sprang to life.
I can contribute some original photos.
