Jim,
Just received the CD and I'm having the prints done now.
They charged me $47.00 for the 11 drawing sheets.
I'm thinking a G-62 with a reduction drive is going to be the power plant but will wait until you are finished with the cowl so I can check the dimensions.
Next step is to send the rib and former files to Precision Cutters and have those parts cut out.
Only one flight on the Spirit and I'm on to another build.
When you are my age you can't waste anytime though!!

Dave,
Won't start the build until I have all the parts.
Got some things redone on the Spirit today so maybe another flight this weekend or the first of the week.
Flying the P-40 tomorrow if the wind isn't blowing.

$47.00 sounds pretty reasonable for printing the files. What kind of place is it? I don't know how big the G-62 reduction drive units are but there's a lot of room in the cowl.

Jim

Been looking at Vogelsangs.
When Jim is done with the cowl I'll order one.
Heard some bad juju about the Schundts which now use Chinese parts.
Just might make my own with a Gilmer belt.

I heard that too, but I also heard that a Volgasang said that they don't use Chinese parts...who knows. It would be interesting to see what you come up with regarding a Gilmer belt drive.
Regards, Richard

BTW the new electronic ignition G62's I believe they are called ZP 62's. They do not have the PTO in the aft end of the crankcase for the spring starter any longer.
