Have`nt seen much if any results posted this year as this event progressed (static scores,1st,2nd round scores etc) rcuniverse/rcgroups and even Frank`s site was quiet. Guess in a few days things will pop up. Well anyhow Good Luck to those on RCScalebuilder who had competed .

I didn't make it down this year Jim so sorry no pics. Hopefully some other members were there and will post some photos. Here is a shot of the scoreboard.

Be sure and check Model Airplane News's website the next few days for more coverage. Gerry and Debra were down there and took many photos.

I was there with Vicar, Thomas, and Merlyn. We didn't take but a few pics. Mine sorta suck as the lighting in Dino's tent wasn't the best. I'll see what I have and post some later if there worthy.

Brenda and I just finished unloading the van, we had a good uneventful trip home (even with the steering wheel on the wrong side!) . Finally Frank got a break with the weather and Friday, Saturday and Sunday were beautiful!
I ended up flying the old Fiat since the new 109E retracts have been screwing up, and as usual the Fiat ran like a champ. Brenda's new L-4 ran good, I just had a heck of a time flying it good with the winds (at least that's the excuse I'm using) so we only placed 8th in the team class.
I'll post a few more photo's later,
Larry B

Attending a wedding in Las Vegas was the perfect excuse to go the extra mile (or 2?) & visit top gun.

It was a chance to catch up with fellow Aussie Peter Goldsmith & I'd like to thank him for his hospitality

& allowing my wife & I to share his tent & introducing us to his friends Jack Diaz, Dave Wigley & Dave's sister, Victoria.

My impressions of Top Gun?  To me it was just another scale contest but I mean that in the nicest possible way.

Relaxed, laid back, familiar, old friends catching up.  The models, to my eyes, rated from good to outstanding &

the organisation kept the wheels rolling & the show interesting.

Favourite models?  Unfortunately I didn't have the opportunity to check out Dave Wigley's Beaufighter  but I loved

Mike Barbee's T-34 & James Prive's Stinson.  Jack Diaz's Fouga was a sleeper, didn't look too special until you had a close

look when you could really appreciate how good it is & I think his static score reflects how accurate it represents the full

scale & how it relates to his documentation.

It's a shame I didn't get to meet Mike Chilson but that's just the way it worked out I suppose.

John.
