Hello from west central GA!  I built a C/L balsa combat model when I was a kid (don't remember the name or mfg of it) but my brother smashed it before I got if finished.  I started a Guillows P-51 and had it mostly framed up when my boy was born about 20 years ago and it kind of fell by the way-side.  Don't know what happened to it.  I started flying R/C in June of '09, but I've had a couple year lay-off taking care of my elderly mother.  I'm slowly getting back into it now and I have a big hankering to build.  I've got 6 kits stashed around here to learn on, but Outerzone and Hip Pocket are driving me crazy.  Anyway, I'll probably just be lurking here for quite a while while I soak up the info and admire you guys' builds.

And by the way, my favorite scale planes are the F4U Corsair, the P-40 Warhawk and the C-47.

Hey Pat - welcome to the crazy train!

Lots to see and learn - suggest you start one of the kits (a trainer type first - gotta get your feet wet first!), find a local club - if there is more than one check them all out.  There are bound to be a few builders left that can help you over the rough spots.

By all means watch and ask questions about why someone did it like that - you never know when an innocent question will spark a whole new way of doing something.

Be aware that as a basic member you are limited to 5 posts, and you do not have the ability to post pictures.  For more information check out the site supporter page HERE  Totally understand if you want to wait a while on that though.
