Thanks for coming to MAD.  I did not get to talk with you much if at all.   I'm sure you know that John Romeo's  Kiwi paint scheme Pup was a JW.     That sounds like a great B-day gift.  excellent.

I plan to have my own 1/3 Tripehound done for next year as I swearved into a Ron Weiss Fokker EV/D-VIII and had juts enough time to finish it this year (63 days!)

 I updated posts.  Did you attend MAD a couple weeks ago?  I just made the connection you were working on the Vickers.  how is that comming along?

Yes it was a busy event so no we didn't get a chance to win all much.

There were a few of the JW pups at the event.
All of them were really nice looking.

I'm going to do a decent job on the pup. Maybe linen fabric and rib stitching. We'll see.

Hi Mike,

No unfortunately I didn't attend MAD this year. Some of my club mates did however, so I got the scoop on the event. Looks like I will need to get down there one of these years it's only an 8 hour drive. 

The Vickers is very close now, soon I'll be making the trip down to John's and we'll get all the rigging set, radio sorted and the engine set up and run in the airframe. Don't know if we'll have time to maiden this year but that's okay John wants to take it to the WRAM in Feb. so we may as well wait for the spring.

SKS had top notch camera and editing.

PS: I think we look younger. The inner kid is showing while we are flying.
