Hello all,

I have been an RCSB addict for the last three years but as yet have no workshop of my own to start building big scale models. I think you are all an extremely talented bunch and although I have not written very much I greatly admire many of the projects on this site.

My Grandfather, who flew real Vampires Meteors and Hunters, taught me to fly RC at around the age of 11 and I have had a lifelong fascination with aviation, particularly WW2 and old piston powered aircraft.

There is no RC flying club nearby so I keep my stick time up flying a couple of small models on the hill behind my house.

I am a CAA approved UAV operator and am starting a business with a friend flying a Cinestar 8 Octocopter carrying a broadcast quality TV camera. It is in its early days but has made a bit of money.

Here is our reel:

www.shutterfilms.co.uk/aerial.

And just to provide some colour to the boring blurb here is my little 109 flying from the hill:

I look forward to making my own humble contributions in the future when a workshop becomes a reality.

Happy Landings,

Sam

Welcome Sam, I'm so jealous of your hill, but then I suppose it gets a bit wet and dreary sometimes. The Messerschmidt looks great against the green.
Good luck with your business!

Thanks very much gents!

Yes its a great hill, but often too windy and/or wet! The good days make it worth it though, always nice to fly a scale model in a decent setting.

Hi Dave,

I'm right on the Welsh border.. most of what you see in that photo is on the other side! There don't seem to be too many scale fliers - or rc fliers of any kind round here which is a shame, once things sort themselves out hopefully I'll start going to the model shows again.

Sam
