Another one quite a bit out of the way is Robbins AFB Museum near Macon, GA. It's a good museum and you could go on to Atlanta and take I85 over to the Nall.

I am staying at the Swan with Greg Tracey and his Dad, I am flying one of Franks P47's and am looking forward to it that's for sure.
Sadly I am working for a Corporate and have a huge amount of work coming to fruition at the time straight after TG so I wont be going onto Nall.

Robbins is straight up I-75 from Lakeland and is a very good museum.  Don't think it would be out of the way.  The 8th AF Museum is VERY disappointing.  If you did want to head west (probably about a 14 hour detour) NAS Pensacola and the AF Armament Museum at Eglin AFB are top notch.

Gwyn,
That is great news that you'll be able to make it! It's to bad that you won't be bringing one of your works of art with you to fly at Lakeland, maybe next year?

Who knows Larry, I hope so. I am looking forward to seeing the Fiat fly though.
