Can you believe we are at the end of the year ALREADY? I wanted to take this opportunity as we near the end of our Ninth year this month to thank all of you who have stuck with us through our constant growth and our newer friends who have only joined us recently. We have built a community like no other on the internet and have shown that you CAN have a successful site without all the crap that occurs on most others of this type. While are are far from perfect, we as a community police our own and help keep the site focused and civil. To our site supporters and supporting vendors, I offer you my gratitude for helping us to grow more each year. Without you couldn't do it! Just a couple of quick items to cover... 1. Frequently Ask Questions (FAQ) If you are new to the site and have a question about how we do things the FAQ is a great place to start. We are constantly updating it and try to answer a wide range of questions. Always your best bet to check there first before emailing us. 2. Site Move We will be moving the site to a more powerful server and upgrading out back-end database this month sometime to facilitate more growth. Also we will be deploying the new back end of the new search engine to eliminate the time-outs some experience when using the search. I will post an announcement the week before we do this. 3. Renewals All the renewal notices for November have been sent out via Private Message and so have the reminders for December. Thank you all who help support RCSB with your Site Supporter membership! 4. New RCSB Chat. We will be launching a new tightly integrated live chat this month that you will be able to access and logged in automatically from the chat. Coming soon! Even though the site pops up a notice that you have a Private Message over half either don't see it or choose to ignore it causing their subscription to lapse.
