Hi,

I pleased to be able to join such a fine forum.  My name is Chas Watson and I live in Central Texas.  I am a novice in the world of r/c.  Stared to mess around with it about ten years ago but after building my first kit and learning to fly I put things on hold as my daughter demanded all my time.  Well, she's a "tween" now and Dad has taken second stage to school and friends so I'm back!    Although I'm just a beginner really,  I have always loved scale warbirds and actually like the process of building as much if not more than the actual flying.  This may be because I don't fly so much as conrol my crash!  Anyway, I look forward to getting back to building and flying.

Thanks for such a fine place to meet and talk with so many talented people. - Chas

Hey Chas, welcome and thanks for becoming a site supporter already.

You said warbirds - do you have a favorite?

Jeff, sorry for the delayed response.      I can't really say that I have a favorite, I like so many.  If I had to pick wihich would be my first scale model it would be between the spitfire and the p-40. The spit is because its just beautifully conceived and executed. the p-40 because of reading about the exploits of a fellow Aggie in th AVG.    Other than those I seem to be drawn to unuasual/ late thirties planes like the p-36, buffalo, etc.

Sorry if I don't respond quickly- busy trying to make a living and juggle all my interest.  I'm think I have ADD.

 - Chas

Awesome!  I like the early ones too.  P-40 and Spitty have narrow gear track, can be a handful.

Howdy Chas, Welcome to the best scale building site around. I know what you mean about having a daughter in that tween stage. Ive got twin 17 yr old girls gettin ready for college soon. They are both hoping to get to go to A&M. Im in Seguin, what part of Tx are you from? Dont be shy about asking questions, This is the best site for learning all the tricks.
