My name is Mikael, i`m a proud father of two fantastic sons, married to the love of my life, 47 years old,  live in the south of sweden, run my own company and have, (for coming to the point), beeing modelflying for about ten years....

I have never, (before), being interested of the buildingprocess, just flying... So a lot of arf:s has passed away....

Last year i been concidered to start a building myself and i ordered a Toni-Clarc kit.. The 1/4-scale supercub kit...

It`s about a year now, since i ordered the kit and i`ve had so much fun and learning during the time...

All the time i have being a member at this site and i recived a LOT of useful information and tips from this site.. So, yesterday, i decided to become a "site supporter", and here i am...

Right now i?m to unexperienced to make a complete scalemodel but i?m trying to learn... I guess you may have to take one or another stupid question or so, sry??

I think that my next project, after the supercub, will be some kind of a scale model??

I cannot decide wich, though?? I?m very interested in a PZL WILGA....

I also flying a Sig 1/4-scale J3 cub... I have about 170 flights with this cub without any horrors, so i think i can fly, at least??

Sry about the language but i?m swedish, you know:)

Best regards

Mikael

Hi Mikael!  Gald you joined in - you already know what a great site this is.

The Super Cub IS a scale airplane!  I bet if you locate one nearby (if possible) and start looking it over, you will find lots and lots of details that are not included in your kit.  Make each model a stepping stone to the next one - the Wilga would be a difficult model, but they are so cool!

Let us know when you start your build.

Jeff

Tanks, Jeff!

I have added some scale details at the Super Cub such as stitches, pinkingtape, ant some rivets.

The small details really do a lot to the impression of the plane..

I just thought i shoult learn how to build before i try too much of scaling?

I?m in the paintingprocess of the cub right now and the fusulage is finished.. Some images is here if you are interested.. Typed in swedish, though..

Hye Mikael - took a look.  You seem to have the building down good - and your covering job looked really good, as did the stitching and rib tapes,  I don't think you have anything to worry about!

of course, building another kit or two would be nothing but good experience, and don't worry too much about making mistakes - we all do.  It's all about how you repair the mistakes . . .

Good work - she looks pretty!

I am quite satisfyed myself, so far... Just take some time..

The covering and painting is a lot of work compairing to cover with plastic film, but it is a lot of fun and comes out very nice, i must say..

I try to upload an avatar but i get a message "Access denied"?? Anyone know why??

Yep, once you have the airplane built - you are about half-done!
